General Guidelines for Robotics Camp Activities
WEEK 1
- Day 1 July 11: Congressman Alan B. Mollohan (Welcome), program overview, ice breaker and introductory activities, begin energy exploration, (Mission 1, Lab 1: Energy Survey Lab, Mission 2, Lab 1: Energy Transfers and Tranformations)
- Day 2 July 12: Explore the foundations of energy transfers and transformation (Coaster Creator online lab, Mission 3, Lab 2: Series and Parallel Circuits, Mission 3, Lab 3: Generating Electricity, Mission 4, Lab 1: Wind Power)
- Day 3 July 13: Discover the science of forces and motion, career fair activities 10:00 Tour of WVU-NASA Robotics Center Thomas Evans 10:45-11:45 (Mission 1, Lab 1: Measuring with Tools (1 hour) , Mission 1, Lab 3: Targeting Accuracy and Precision) (Dan Sawyer videos) maybe afternoon pending robotics lab

- Day 4 July 14: Continue force and motion, 10:45 Charley Pride-FIRST Robitcis Johnson Space Center (Mission 2, Lab 1: Calculating Speed and Determining Velocity, Mission 3, Lab 2: It's a Blast) (afternoon computer work /coaster competition/TV digital lab or Kobie)
- Day 5 July 15: Wrap up forces and motion, NASA robotics lab tour (Mission 4, Lab 1: Work, Mission 4, Lab 2: Simple Machines, Mission 4, Lab 3: Complex Machines)

WEEK 2
Day 1 July 18: Explore the basics of robotics
Day 2 July 19: Build and test basic robotic structures, compete in team competitions
Day 3 July 20: Continue building and testing robotic structures, begin developing presentation (In AM, video conference with Kobie Boykins, NASA Engineer-Jet Propulsion Lab)
Day 4 July 21: Begin development of final robotic tool to meet "NASA's" requirements, compete in culmiating, robotic competition.
Day 5 July 22: Finalize and test the models for demonstration, prepare for presentation, review JASON web site, afternoon presentation (1:00-2:00)*

*Culminating Presentation: Each student team will provide a presentation summarizing their camp experiences. Attendees will include participants from the West Virginia High Technology Consortium, the Robert H. Mollohan Family Charitable Foundation, WVU engineering professors, high school personnel, parents and local press.

NOTE: Will try to video conference him in one afternoon.
